Rooute start from Ironia/Chester and runs throught Mendham. You can make a nice scenery stop by the Raritan River. There's nothing extra special about this route, other the fact, it has nice curves, and it's great for morning commute due to virtually no traffic.
Long peaceful ride. Views of cranberry bogs, rivers, campgrounds, and lots of trees. Little to no police
Lots of shade over roads and little places for fuel and eats.
Cafe A La Mode coffee shop
My very first route created.
A lot of winding roads that you can get some great corners in.
Start at the Pub and Grill at Blue Mountain Resort then loop around both sides of the beautiful Appalachian mountains.
gas up and start out at wawa near sesame place. for maybe the first 10 miles you're driving on busy roads, but once you get past 322 (newtown bypass) and on rte 413 it becomes really nice riding. follow river road north towards Easton pa (watch out for the one lane bridge, make sure you take your turn or you'll end up in the drink).
In upper black eddy you will see a sign on the right side of the road that says General Store, don't worry its the only one on the whole trip.. take a left and grab some grub, they have some great lunch sandwich's, its a small place with a nice rustic atmosphere..
Get back on the bike head back out to river road and follow it back south, down through New Hope, feel free to park and walk around, if you happen to take this ride on a sunday you will easily see a few hundred bikes parked in this town and the town is maybe a max of a mile long.
when you come out of New Hope you, can take a right and head up to Bowman's tower and see the spectacular view, or you can simple stay straight and head down to Washington's crossing state park, might want to stop here and enjoy a huge part or the history of our country, this is the place where George Washington crossed the Delaware river.
the entire ride is a beautiful ride along the Delaware River
Starts at new golf course in Branchburg and takes some interesting backroads to Sky Manor Airport for lunch. Ends near Rt 202 for easy trip home. Never much traffic.
senic river drive to historic national park.
Great scenery and Windy Roads. Be careful on Lake Rd, very tight!
This route starts on 17 North bound, then takes 287 South bound. You then take Rt 23 West. Once on 23 you will go thru a few small towns with a few lights. Police are sometimes hidden or drive white plain unmarked cars and SUVs. So be on your toes. But as you go further north on 23, it starts to open up with plenty of twisties and great views. We usually stop alone the route at a small bagel shop just before 84. Once passed 84 and as you hit High Point, the back road leading towards Port Jervis is SWEET. Nice long twistie. You will enjoy.
One doesn't need to ride the whole thing. Too many towns. However, the Bear Mountain area is Jolly Good. Not too shabby from Bear Mountain to West Point, NY. Quik trip: Take the Palisades Parkway to Bear Mountain, then 9W to WestPoint. No matter what, go into the park and ride to the top. You can see new York City on a clear day.
Don't forget to venture off around Upper Greenwood Lake. Watch out for kids, horseback riders, and road construction. Try not to go on the weekend for more open road access
