Rising to nearly 4500m at its highest point the Saach Pass or Death Road is a famous himalayan road. Surface is very bad and safety not really a priority but the spectacular views and unique sense of danger from height have made this route kind of a legend and popular for tourists seeking a thrill.
Overall good road. A mix of National Highways, State Highways and other smaller roads.
Ride from Manali to Rhontang pass. The scenery is beautiful and the road unforgettable.
This is the best route to take from Bangalore to chennai
This is the best way to get to manali.
It doesnt go through the main highway which is in a very bad shape and takes you through one of the most beautiful stretches of roads from Una to Mandi to Manali. It also bypasses Kullu city which is really a traffic nightmare. The road is longer by almost a 100 kms from the main route but the time taken is almost the same. With a good 600cc plus bike the route can be covered within 12 hours. I have personally done this 4-5 times in the last year.
Up to Paud village there will be moderate traffic. After that it is heaven. Amazing roads and curves.
It is an ideal blend of curves straight roads and scenery.the best part of riding in this part of the country is the presence of a Buddhist monastery at Kushal Nagar. The moment you enter the environs of the monastery it is as If you have enter a new country. The presence of Tibetian Nationals here just changes the whole feel of the trip.Mysore has a zoological garden and the Palace of the Mysore Wodayar. Thers an off road Quad bike track also on the way from Madikeri to Mysore. This road is worth every minute you spend on it,I recommend the new breed of UCE fitted Bullets for these roads. The perfect blend of power and weight will leave you feeling like taking every curve again.
One more amazing mountainous road (ghat) around Mumbai... this too starts with an urban / city landscape and the canvas changes amazingly fast once you cross panvel... this route also allows bikers to use the Mumbai-Pun Expressway on certain stretches... Drive safe and drive carefully
