2014 I did Benidorm to Guadalest. Forgot the road numbers but really good surface, great bends but watch out for tourists in their rental cars. Be advised that a many roads in the mountains do not have Armco barriers. One mistake and they won´t find you for at least a week. Somewhere near Guadalest is a Moto Museum which is a must see, there is probably 150 bikes including older Moto GP and even a WW2 half track Moto Guzzi with a machine gun on the back. Loads of fab ´70´s MV Augusta´s too. I did loads of roads in this area on a GSXR 1000 K7. Local lads have 600´s.

Hi.I live in Altea and ride a Honda Africa Twin. The ride to Guadalest is awesome as are the surrounding roads.Lots of off roads to be discovered here too.I must agree with Steve Cardiff about the road from/to Tossa del Mar....fantastic but mighty dangerous.Another great road going south from Barcelona is the approach into Sitges....like that...and what about the Rabassada from Barcelona to Sant Cugat via the BP1417

Hi guys, New to this site and this is my first post. Let me just say that this route (or one not far from it) finally convinced my wife that I needed to do my direct access and get a bike. You see, we holidayed for a week in Benidorm about 6 years ago just to get away from the kids. The apartment block that we stayed in had on it's ground floor a motorbike rental shop. I don't mean mopeds, I mean a proper motorbike rental shop. Unfortunately at the time all I had was a car licence so rented a DR125 from the nice friendly German named Gerard. I asked him about some nice places to visit and he suggested Guadalest. We didn't follow the exact route shown here, but went along the coast past Altea, then headed inland on the cv755 towards Sallosa and on to Guadalest. We returned to Benidorm via the cv70 as I recall. Let me tell you, Guadalest and the surrounding area is biking nirvana. The bends are awesome with stunning scenery and some 'fresh air' drops, so caution is needed, especially two up on a 125!! Guadalest (gate of the east??) itself is worth a visit in it's own right, even by coach, but on a bike it's two wheeled pornography. I'm lusting to get back there just writing this, and my old CBR thou is far more comfortable for 'er indoors' than the DR ever could be, apart from the manic vibration at high revs - she seemed to like that for some reason!! My second favourite place after Sant Feliux to Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava. Sorry, but nothing compares with that.

Spectacular scenery through mountains all the way. Nice restaurant with views across to the coast at Coll de Rates. Although there are a lot of hairpins (one so slow I was tempted to put a foot down) there are also some nice sweepers and some quick strights. There is little traffic on the road but it does appear from nowhere. After Callosa D'en Sarria (turn right on CV 755 the road gets a little more civilized and just before Guadalest there is a little motorcycle museum (lots of Ducati singles) on the left. Then you will want to do it the reverse way. Guadalest is a fantastic village perched precariously on a rock and is only about 15 miles from Benidorm so pleanty of nightlife. You could also combine it with the route from Altea to Gata de Gorgos another 22 miles
